Landry: I have received the petition of Mr. David Myers appealing the nomesponse ofthe Everett Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O (b ); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Mr. Myers requested a "copy of the name(s) of whom had recorded the transaction receipt within the narcotic bank account register" for a specific investigation. Having received no response, Mr. Myers petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated May 27, 2016. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Myers may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days.
