These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of mapublicrecord.com (the "Service"), operated by Cielee LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("Cielee", "we", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Bulk download, scrape, or systematically copy case PDFs or our search results.
Reverse engineer, attempt to extract model weights from, or retrain on the AI analysis output.
Use the Service to harass, defame, or invade the privacy of any person named in the records.
Circumvent rate limits, daily limits, or other access controls.
Submit content that is unlawful, contains malware, or violates the rights of any third party.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE DATA IS COMPLETE, ACCURATE, CURRENT, OR FREE OF ERRORS. THE OFFICIAL SOURCE OF MASSACHUSETTS PUBLIC RECORDS APPEALS IS THE SECRETARY OF THE COMMONWEALTH'S WEBSITE; ALWAYS VERIFY CRITICAL FACTS THERE.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CIELEE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

5. Intellectual Property

The underlying public records are public domain documents made available by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Service's search engine, AI analysis system, vector embeddings, UI, and original commentary are owned by Cielee LLC and protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and trade secret law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of these proprietary elements without our written permission.

6. User-Submitted Content

When you submit feedback or paste request text into /analyze, you grant Cielee a worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content solely to provide and improve the Service. You retain ownership of what you submit.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, with or without notice — including for violation of these Terms or excessive abusive use of system resources.

8. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
