Williams Supervisor ofR ecords August 26, 2016 SPR16/617 Ms. Marlene Cronin Executive Office of Public Safety and Security Department of Correction Legal Division 70 Franklin Street, Suite 600 Boston, MA 02110-1327 Dear Ms. Cronin: I have received the petition of Mr. Andrew Queme re appealing the nomesponse of the Department of Correction (Department) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 10(b); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Mr. Quemere requested several records concerning the Gender Dysphoria Treatment Committee and security reviews related to treatment plans for inmates with gender dysphoria. Having received no response, Mr. Quemere petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified that you never received the original request. In an email exchange on August 25, 2016 a copy of this appeal file was provided to you. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Department provide a response without delay. Mr. Quemere may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days.
