Caron Assistant to the Superintendent Fall River Public Schools 417 Rock Street Fall River, MA 02720 Dear Ms. Caron: I have received the petition of Lisa Zullo appealing the response of the Fall River Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O (b ); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Ms. Zullo requested a copy of the district calendar for January 1996 showing the dates school was in session full or half day or cancelled due to weather. Records were provided; however, Ms. Zullo appealed, believing additional records may exist. In a prior appeal to this office you indicated you would review any other records and provide responsive records that exist. See SPR16/331 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (May 27, 2016). Having received no further information Ms. Zullo once again appealed. In an August 29, 2016 telephone conversation with a member of my staff you explained that you conducted a diligent search and found no additional records. You further stated you would conduct a further search with the School Payroll Department and provide a written response to Ms. Zullo and this office once that review is complete. Whereas the School has indicated it will use its superior knowledge of its records to conduct a diligent search, and further whereas you have indicated you will provide a letter documenting the result of this search, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that a response is issued within ten days of this order. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office.
