Williams Supervisor ofR ecords September 16, 2016 SPR16/716 Mr. Craig Kleman Town of Peru-Town Administrator 3 East Main Road, P.O. Box 479 Hinsdale, MA 0213 5 Dear Mr. Kleman: I have received the petition of Kimberly Wetherell appealing the response of the Town of Peru-Town Administrator (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 10(b); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Ms. Wetherell requested a draft copy of the August 8, 2016 Board of Selectmen (Board) executive session meeting minutes. On August 15,2016, the Town informed Ms. Wetherell that it was withholding the executive session meeting minutes until the Board reviewed the minutes and approved (voted to release) the minutes. Ms. Wetherell appealed. By email on September 14, 2016, you informed this office that on August 29, the Board of Selectmen voted to release the August executive session meeting minutes. You provided Ms. Wetherell with copy of the minutes via email on August 30, 2016. The Open Meeting Law An attorney on my staff telephoned Ms. Wetherell several times concerning the request for the executive session meeting minutes and their release, but was unable to reach her directly. Please be advised that this office has no authority to make determinations on issues regarding the Open Meeting Law. Authority over the Open Meeting Law is vested in the Open Government Division of the Office of the Attorney General (AGO). Any questions or concerns regarding the Open Meeting Law should be directed to the AGO. Accordingly, whereas the records have been provided, this appeal is closed.
