Rousseau, Jr. appealing the response of the Department of State Police (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 10(b); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, by letter dated June 24, 2016 Mr. Rousseau requested copies of records related to a vehicle stop/incident on or about April25, 2007. In a response dated August 18,2016, the Department informed Mr. Rousseau that this request is identical to a previous request made by Mr. Rousseau to the Department. The department responded to this initial request by letter dated September 16, 2016. Current appeal In its August 18 response the Department referred Mr. Rousseau to its September 16, 2016 response to his identical request for records. Mr. Rousseau failed to include the Department's September 16 response with his petition to this office. Given that all petitions to this office must include copies of any written response from the records custodian, I decline to opine on this matter. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). cc: Mr. John D.
