The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Shawn A Williams Supervisor ofR ecords October 27, 2016 SPR16/960 Dr. Edward Gotgart Acting Superintendent of Schools ~ramingham Public Schools 73 Mt. Wayte Ave., Suite 5 Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Dr. Gotgart: I have received the petition of Evan Anderson appealing the nomesponse of the Framingham Public Schools (Schools) to an October 12, 2016 request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § IO(b); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Mr. Anderson requested, in an email to Superintendent of schools Dr. Stacy L. Scott at sscott@framingham.k12.ma.us, a "copy of agendas from all Framingham High School Council meetings during the 2007-2008 and 2015- 2016 academic years." Having received no response, Mr. Anderson petitioned this office. After a query by a member of my staff your office explained that at this time any email correspondence should be sent either to you at egotgart@framingham.k12.ma.us or to a member of your staff at akane@framingham.k12.ma.us, rather than to Dr. Scott. It appears this may be the reason for the failure to respond to Mr. Anderson's request. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Schools respond to Mr. Anderson's request. A copy of any such response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Anderson may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). liams cc: Evan Anderson One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre• pre@sec.state.ma.us
