The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Shawn A. Williams Supervisor ofR ecords November 7, 2016 SPR16/970 Peter Geraghty, Esq. Boston Police Department Office of the Legal Advisor 1 City Hall Square Room 615 Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Geraghty: I have received the petition of Debra Kornblah, Esq. representing Omar Abdullah, appealing the nonresponse of the Boston Police Department- Office of the Legal Advisor (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O (b ); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Attorney Kornblah requested documents pertaining to an incident that occurred on May 24, 1969. Having received no response, Attorney Kornblah petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was informed that a response to Attorney Kornbluh's request would be sent to her without delay. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Office's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that Attorney Geraghty sends Attorney Kornbluh a response. Attorney Kornbluh may appeal the substantive nature of the Office's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). cc: Debra Kornbluh, Esq.
