The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Shawn A. Williams Supervisor of Records November 10, 2016 SPR16/998 Mark Duphily Chief of Police Carver Police Department 112 Main Street B Carver MA, 023 3 0 Dear Chief Duphily: I have received the petition of Mark Kaminsky appealing the response of the Town of Carver Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O (b ); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Mr. Kaminsky requested copies of seven (7) categories of reports pertaining to incidents investigated by the Department. Having received a response he deemed insufficient, Mr. Kaminsky petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified that a supplemental response will be provided to Mr. Kaminsky without delay. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that Mr. Kaminsky receives a revised response to his request. Mr. Kaminsky may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days.
