The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Shawn A. Williams Supervisor ofR ecords November 23, 2016 SPR16/1021 Marta N. Leon Records Manager Executive Office of Public Safety and Security - Department of Correction One Administration Road Bridgewater, MA 02324 Dear Ms. Leon: I have received the petition of William Murray appealing the response ofthe Executive Office of Public Safety and Security - Department of Correction (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 10(b); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Mr. Murray requested a mileage reimbursement form for CPO Ed Cote from February to June of2016. You initially had responded on November 3, 2016 denying him of responsive records claiming Exemption (b) and (c). Mr. Murray objected and petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified by you that a revised response will be provided. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's failure to provide a substantial written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Murray may appeal the substanf e nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days.
