The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Shawn A. Williams Supervisor of Records December 2, 2016 SPR16/1065 Barry Nectow Canton Public Schools Business Administration Office 960 Washington Street Canton, MA 02021 Dear Mr. Nectow: I have received the petition ofNeil S. Cohen, Esq. appealing the response of the Town of Canton -Public Schools (Schools) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O (b ); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Attorney Cohen requested records pertaining to settlement agreements. Initially you provided a response with a fee estimate dated November 4, 2016. Attorney Cohen petitioned this office objecting to the fee estimate, particularly the portion of the fee estimate that will be performed by "professional staff' to redact the responsive records. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified by you that a revised response will be provided. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Cohen may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Supervisor of Records cc: Neil S. Cohen, Esq.
