The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Shawn A. Williams Supervisor of Records December 13, 2016 SPR16/1105 Ms. Andrea L. Stone City of Springfield Law Department 3 6 Court Street Room 210 Springfield, MA 01103 Dear Ms. Stone: I have received the petition of Russell Seelig appealing the nonresponse of the City of Springfield- Law Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O (b ); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Mr. Seelig requested "to view the 12A agreement and the listing of payments made to the City during the last twelve (12) months for [a specifically identified property]." Having only received an acknowledgment of the request, Mr. Seelig petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated December 9, 2016. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Seelig may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2).
