The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Shawn A. Williams Supervisor of Records December 16, 2016 SPR16/l169 Marty Geoghegan, Principal Nichols Middle School Middleboro Public Schools 112 Tiger Drive Middleboro, MA 02346 Dear Mr. Geoghegan: I have received the petition of Steven Connor appealing the nonresponse of Middleboro Public Schools- Nichols Middle School (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lO(b); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Mr. Connor requested four (4) categories of records pertaining to the teaching qualifications required by the School's "special education" program, as well as records pertaining to a specifically identified individual. Having received no response, Mr. Connor petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified that a response would be provided without delay. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the School's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that Mr. Connor receives a response to his request in a timely manner. Mr. Connor may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety (90) days.
