Brooks Norwood Police Department 137 Nahatan Street Norwood, MA 02062 Dear Chief Brooks: I have received the petition of Michael Gordon appealing the nonresponse of the Norwood Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O (b ); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specific~lly, Mr. Gordon requested records regarding a specifically identified police matter. Having received no response, Mr. Gordon petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated December 22, 2016. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Gordon may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Very truly yours, Rebecca S.
