Gallagher appealing the response of the City of Brockton-Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O (b ); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Specifically, Mr. Gallagher requested "all documents in connection with a hit and run motor vehicle accident in that city on November 26, 2014 and a report completed on November 28, 2014." You informed a member of my staff that response had been provided and the only record responsive was the crash report "ID#l4-2108-AC". Objecting to this response, Mr. Gallagher petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified by you that the Department will perform a more thorough search and will provide to Mr. Gallagher a more substantial response. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's failure to provide a more substantial response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed.
