Murray Supervisor of Records February 1, 2017 SPR17/138, SPR17/139, SPR17/140 Lieutenant Michael McCarthy Director of Media Relations City of Boston - Police Department One Schroeder Plaza Boston, MA 02120 Dear Lieutenant McCarthy: I have received three petitions from Shawn Musgrave appealing the nonresponse of City of Boston-Police Department (Department) to three separate requests for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 10(b); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). These three appeals will be addressed by this determination. Specifically, Mr. Musgrave requested copies of: 1. Records regarding firearm discharge reports for a specified time period. (SPR17 /13 8). 2. Records regarding use of force reports for a specified time period. (SPR17/139). 3. Records regarding firearm discharge reports for a specified time period. (SPR17/140). Subsequent to the intervention by a member ofmy staff, this office was notified that the Department is working with Mr. Musgrave and searching for pertinent records and plans to provide a response to each request within ten (1 0) days. Accordingly, I will now consider these administrative appeals closed with the proviso that the Department provide said response. Mr. Musgrave may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
