The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S, Murray Supervisor of Records February 3, 2017 SPR17/147 Mr. Michael Herbert Town of Ashland — Town Manager 101 Main Street Ashland, MA 01721 Dear Michael Herbert: I have received the petition of Stephen Morgan appealing the response of the Town of Ashland (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 10(A); see also 950 C.MLR. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Morgan requested various records concerning meeting agendas, minutes and documents relation to a “Town Manager’s Strategic Planning Advisory Group.” This request was the subject of a previous appeal. See SPR16/106 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (January 26, 2017). The Town provided a response on January 30, 2017 and Mr. Morgan appealed. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified that a supplemental response was provided, dated February 2, 2017. I understand the Town provided certain responsive records as well as a fee estimate for the provision of others. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Morgan may appeal the substantive nature of the Town’s response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Sincerely, Alun Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Stephen J.
