The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records February 3,2017 SPR171161 David Belanger Dear Mr. Belanger: This office has received your February 1,201 7 emails appealing the lack of compliance of the Middlesex County Southern Registry of Deeds (Registry) to a records request. After reviewing this information I find that I am unable to accept your appeal.. The Public Records Access Regulations, which govern the procedural aspects of all appeals, provide records custodians with ten (10) business days in which a response to a public records request must be provided. See 950 C.M.R. 32.06 (2) (b); G.L. c. 66, 5 10(b). The 10- day time frame in which a custodian must respond has not yet elapsed. If after 10-business days have passed and the Town denies your request or fails to respond, you may appeal to this office. At that time this office will review the matter. Sincerely, u Rebecca S.
