The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords February 22, 2017 SPR17/226 Steven Connor Dear Mr. Connor: This office has received your February 22, 2017 communication appealing the lack of compliance of Bridgewater State University (University) to your records request. After reviewing this information I find that I am unable to accept your appeal. The Public Records Access Regulations, which govern the procedural aspects of all appeals, provide records custodians with ten (10) business days in which a response to a public records request must be provided. See 950 C.M.R. 32.06 (2) (b ); G. L. c. 66, § 1O (b ). The 10-day time frame in which a custodian must respond has not yet elapsed. If after 10-business days have passed and the University denies your request or fails to respond, you may appeal to this office. At that time this office will review the matter. Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Laura Machado One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre• pre@sec.state.ma.us
