Murray Supervisor ofR ecords February 27, 2017 SPR17/242 Gillian Halkett Public Access Officer Town of Greenfield Police Department 321 High Street Greenfield, MA 01301 Dear Ms. Halkett: I have received the petition of Douglas Wight appealing the response of the Town of Greenfield- Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Wight requested documents regarding cases of "misdemeanor destruction of propterty that were amended and/or charged as felony vandalism." Believing that not all responsive records were provided, Mr. Wight petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified that a supplemental response was provided, dated February 27, 2017. The Department clarifies why such a response was initially provided, and goes on to explain why there are no further responsive records in their custody. If you wish to obtain more information regarding your request, the Department directs you to the responsive department in their response. Further requests of this nature should be directed to: ADA Cynthia Von Flatern Public Records Access Officer Northwestern District Attorney One Gleason Plaza Northampton, MA 01060 Whereas this matter was opened based upon the Department's failure to provide a complete written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Wight may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1).
