The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords February 28, 2017 SPR17/261 Keith Slattery, Esq. Dear Attorney Slattery: This office has received your February 27, 2017 email appealing the lack of compliance of the City of Revere (City) to your request for records. After reviewing this information I find that I am unable to accept your appeal. The Public Records Access Regulations, which govern the procedural aspects of all appeals, provide records custodians with ten (10) business days in which a response to a public records request must be provided. See 950 C.M.R. 32.06 (2) (b ); G. L. c. 66, § 1O (b ). Your revised request for records was dated February 15, 201 7, and as such the 10-day time frame in which a custodian must respond has not yet elapsed. If after 10-business days have passed the City denies your request or fails to respond, you may appeal to this office. At that time this office will review the matter. Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
