The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 7, 2017 SPR17/291 Ms. Ashley Melnik City Clerk City of Revere 281 Broadway Revere, MA 02151 Dear Ms. Melnik: I have received the petition of Attorney Keith Slattery appealing the nonresponse of the City of Revere- City Clerk (City) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Slattery requested all emails and text messages sent or received by a specifically identified individual to and from multiple others spanning from January 1, 2016 to May 1, 2016. Having yet to receive a response, Mr. Slattery appealed. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, this office was notified that a response would be provided without delay. This response will be a fee estimate regarding Mr. Slattery's request. Whereas this appeal was opened based on the City's failure to provide a complete written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that Mr. Slattery receives a response no later than March 10, 2017. Mr. Slattery may appeal the substantive nature of the City's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Mr. Keith Slattery, Esq.
