The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records March 16, 2017 SPR17/324 Sergeant Michael J. Hanlon Worcester Police Department 911 Lincoln Square Worcester, MA O1 608 Dear Sgt. Hanlon: I have received the petition of John Rousseau appealing the nomesponse of the Worcester Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O (A); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, on February 8, 2017 Mr. Rousseau requested a copy of an "August, 2015 letter to Worcester Police from Attorney Hector Piniero regarding a Worcester SWA T Team raid" at a specifically identified address. Claiming to have not yet received a response, Mr. Rousseau petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department had never received the initial request for records. Nonetheless, representatives from the Department have since been made aware of the request and intend to provide a response. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Department provide said response without delay. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of any such response to this office at: pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Rousseau may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~ f n u l ~ Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: John D.
