G. L. c. 66 § lO(c); see also 950 C.M.R. 32.06(4). Specifically, Julie Farrell requested copies of detailed legal invoices from August 2016 to October 2016. This request was the subject of previous appeals with this office. See SPR16/1085 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (December 2, 2016); SPR16/1155 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (December 16, 2016); SPRl 7 /051 Determination of the Supervisor of Records (January 23, 2017). In my January 23, 2017 determination I ordered the Town to provide Ms. Farrell with a privilege log regarding the redactions and to specifically explain how the exemptions apply to each individual legal invoice that has been redacted, within ten (10) days, in a manner consistent with the order, the Public Records Law and its Regulations. In your petition dated February 1, 2017 you requested "an extension of your order of ten days until February 15, 2017" due to limited staffing. It should be noted that Ms. Farrell's initial request was dated October 24, 2016. The Town's petition for an extension of time is based on a provision of the updated Public Records Law that applies to requests made on or after January 1, 201 7. I understand an attorney on my staff contacted you and you indicated the Town is actively working to produce the privilege log ordered in the January 23rd determination. Whereas the Town is actively working to comply with the January 23rd order, I decline to opine further on this matter at this time. A copy of the Town's response must be provided to this office. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Farrell may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety (90) days.
