Assistant District Attorney Plymouth County District Attorney 166 Main Street Brockton, MA 02301 Dear Attorney McK.enna: I have received the petition of Ivano Correia appealing the nomesponse of the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office (DAO) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Correia requested copies of all reports, notes, and documents from specifically identified police officers and other individuals concerning a specific court case. Having received no response, Mr. Correia petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, it was discovered that the DAO never received an initial records request from Mr. Correia. Nonetheless, a representative from the DAO indicated their willingness to provide a response. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the DAO's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the DAO provide Mr. Correia with a written response within ten (10) business days.
