Office of the General Counsel Massachusetts Department of Transportation 10 Park Plaza Boston, MA 02116 Dear Attorney Doyle: I have received the petition of Daniel Bell appealing the response of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Bell requested a copy of the "2016 airport safety inspection/ compliance report, checklist." Having already received a copy of the "Airport Master Record," Mr. Bell petitioned this office in an attempt to receive other documents. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, I learned that MassDOT states it provided Mr. Bell with all documents that pertain to his request and that there are no other responsive documents in existence. A representative from MassDOT noted the Department's intention to provide a supplemental response in which they will address Mr. Bell's concerns. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that MassDOT provide said response within ten (10) business days. Mr. Bell may appeal the substantive nature of MassDOT's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(2). Sincerely, ~ Rebecca S.
