Murray Supervisor ofR ecords May 2, 2017 SPR17/591 Tara Ward Town Clerk Town of Ashland 10 1 Main Street Ashland, MA 01 721 Dear Ms. Ward: I have received the petition of Stephen Morgan appealing the nonresponse of the Town of Ashland Town Clerk's Office (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Morgan requested "the minutes and documents used in the 3/1/2017 Board of Selectmen meeting." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Morgan petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Town intends on providing Mr. Morgan with the requested records no later than May 2, 2017. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Town provide said response within ten (1 0) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Morgan may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety (90) days. See C.M.R. 32.08(1).
