General Counsel Massachusetts Department of Transportation 10 Park Plaza Suite 3 51 0 Boston, MA 02116 Dear Attorney Doyle: I have received the petition of Daniel Bell appealing the nonresponse of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (DOT) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Bell requested documents regarding "[a]irport safety inspection checklists." Having received no response, Mr. Bell petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of my staff, this office was notified that a response was provided, dated May 5, 2017. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the DOT's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Bell may appeal the substantive nature ofthe DOT's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
