Murray Supervisor ofR ecords May 8, 2017 SPR17/620 Hope Button Contract Compliance Analyst Office of Procurement 36 Court Street, Room 307 Springfield, MA 01103 Dear Ms. Button: I have received the petition of Charlie Payne ofthe New England Regional Council of Carpenters appealing the nonresponse ofthe City of Springfield-Office of Procurement (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Payne requested records relating to a project at a specifically identified address, copies of correspondence relating to the project, and payroll for certain portions of the project. . Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Payne petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Office intends on providing Mr. Payne with a response no later than May 12, 2017. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Office provide said response within ten (1 0) business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Payne may appeal the substantive nature ofthe Town's response within ninety (90) days. See C.M.R. 32.08(1).
