The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords May17,2017 SPR17/645 Jeanne Parziale Human Resources Director Town of Chelmsford 50 Billerica Road Chelmsford, MA O1 824 Dear Ms. Parziale: I have received the petition of Stanley Mazurczyk appealing the response of the Town of Chelmsford Human Resources Department (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Mazurczyk requested records pertaining to the "staffing/hiring of the (current) Assistant Town Manager and the (current) Assistant Town Clerk." On December 16, 2016, you had initially provided Mr. Mazurczyk with a response and some records. Objecting to this response, Mr. Mazurczyk contends the records provided were not responsive to his request and petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, I was informed that the Town will provide a more substantial response to Mr. Mazurczyk. With the proviso that the Town will provide a revised response to Mr. Mazurczyk without delay, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Mazurczyk may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08. Sincerely, ~urr~ Supervisor of Records cc: Stanley Mazurczyk One Ashburton Place, Room 1719, Boston, Massachusetts 02108 • (617) 727-2832• Fax: (617) 727-5914 sec.state.ma.us/pre• pre@sec.state.ma.us
