The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords May 23, 2017 SPR17/700 Lori Hall Records Clerk East Longmeadow Police Department 160 Somers Road East Longmeadow, MA O1 028 Dear Ms. Hall: I have received the petition of Attorney John Stewart appealing the response of the East Longmeadow Police Department {Department) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1 OA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Attorney Steward requested all records concerning a traffic fatality of an identified individual. Unsatisfied with the Department's response, in which he was informed that the documents are still under investigation, Attorney Stewart petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, I learned that a representative from the Department intends on providing Attorney Stewart with a supplemental response. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Department provide Attorney Stewart with said response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Attorney Stewart may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: John B.
