The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords June 29, 2017 SPR17/853 Kate M. Silvia Records Access Officer Department of Correction- Human Resources 50 Maple Street Suite 3 Milford, MA 01757 Dear Ms. Silvia: I have received the petition of William Murray appealing the nonresponse of the Department of Correction-Human Resources (DOC) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Murray requested email correspondence and any other "notes" written or received by an identified group of individuals. Having received no response, Mr. Murray petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, this office was notified that a response would be provided without delay. Whereas this matter was opened based upon the DOC's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that Mr. Murray receives a response to his request in a timely manner. Mr. Murray may appeal the substantive nature of the DOC's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
