The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords June 27, 2017 SPR17/860 Shawn A. Williams, Esq. Director of Public Records City of Boston 1 City Hall Plaza, Room 615 Boston, MA 02201 Dear Attorney Williams: I have received the petition of Don Saklad appealing the response of the Boston Department of Innovation and Technology (Department) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Saklad requested "names, titles, department units, and department divisions" as well as "listings with similar information, by name, unit/ division" for the staff within the Department. Unsatisfied with the Department's response, which claims that they "have no record that matches" Mr. Saklad's request, Mr. Saklad petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, I learned that a representative from the City of Boston, in conjunction with agents of the Department, intend on providing Mr. Saklad with a response to his appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Department provide Mr. Sellers with a response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Saklad may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
