The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords July 10,2017 SPR17/875 Marta Leon Old Colony Correctional Center One Administration Road Bridgewater, MA 02324 Dear Ms. Leon: I have received the petition of J.D. Carrier appealing the response of the Department of Correction (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 23, 2017, Mr. Carrier specifically requested records pertaining to schedules the Department utilizes on specific dates for a specified event. Initially, the Department had responded on May 25, 2017 denying Mr. Carrier's request for records. Objecting to this denial, Mr. Carrier petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, I was informed that the Department will provide a more substantial response. With the proviso that the Department will provide a revised response to Mr. Carrier without delay, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Carrier may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08. Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: J.D.
