Perez: I have received the petition of Tom Relihan of The Ente1prise appealing the nonresponse of the Brockton Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Relihan requested "[p]olice log entries involving involuntary or police ordered tows from 2010 to the present, including date, time, address, reason for tow, responding officers and responding tow truck company." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Relihan petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department responded to Mr. Relihan's request with a response sent on June 30, 201 7, informing him that the records had been compiled and were ready for pickup. After speaking with a representative from the Department, I learned Mr. Relihan came and retrieved the records on July 7, 2017. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Department's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Relihan may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
