G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Rodriguez requested a copy of a document that contains his signature for "legal mail pickup at the CSD building on the morning of May 23, 2017." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Rodriguez petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the proper agent for handling public record requests never saw the inquiry. Nonetheless, after the Department was made aware of this appeal, a representative within the Department noted their willingness to provide a response. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Department provide said response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre0J,sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Rodriguez may appeal the substantive nature ofthe Department's response within ninety days.
