The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords July 7, 2017 SPR17/921 Major Susan Schofield Supervisor of Communications Dukes County Sheriffs Office P.O. Box 190 Edgartown, MA 02539 Dear Major Schofield: I have received the petition of Douglas Moser of NBC Boston appealing the nonresponse ofthe Dukes County Sheriffs Office (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 §lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Moser requested "the number of completed suicides from 2006 to present broken down by year, and attempted prisoner suicides from 2006 broken down by year." Claiming to not yet have received a substantive response, Mr. Moser petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. On July 7, 2017, Mr. Moser notified tllis office via email that he is formally withdrawing his appeal. In his withdrawal, Mr. Moser noted his intention to do so because the Office fulfilled his request. Accordingly, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Moser may appeal the substantive nature ofthe Office's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
