The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records July 17, 2017 SPR17/951 Mark McAneny Principal John A. Bishop Elementary School 15 Columbia Road Arlington, MA 024 7 4 Dear Mr. McAneny: I have received the petition of Paul Leder of Spencer Brook Strings appealing the nomesponse ofthe Arlington Public Schools (School) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Leder requested records connected with applications, as well as "[r ]ecords explaining how the selection and applications were evaluated, including memos, personal notes, telephone logs, etc." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Leder petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member ofthe Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the School intends on providing Mr. Leder with a response to his appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the School provide Mr. Leder with a response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Leder may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
