The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records July 27,2017 SPRl71972 Marta Leon Old Colony Correctional Center One Administration Road Bridgewater, MA 02324 Dear Ms. Leon: I have received the petition of J.D. Carrier appealing the response of the Department of Correction (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 5 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On May 23,2017, Mr. Carrier specifically requested records pertaining to schedules the Department utilizes on specific dates for a specified event. Initially, the Department had responded on May 25, 20 17 and July 6,2017 denying Mr. Carrier's request for records. Objecting to this denial, Mr. Carrier petitioned this office. Subsequent to the intervention by a member of the Public Records Division staff, I was informed that the Department had provided a more substantial response dated July 24, 2017. Since this appeal was opened based upon the Department's response to a request for public records, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Carrier may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety (90) days. 950 C.M.R. 32.08. Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: J.D.
