The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supen;isor ofR ecords July 24, 2017 SPR17/985 Brian Bullock Town Administrator Town of Hubbardston 7 Main Street, Unit #3 Hubbardston, MA 01452 Dear Mr. Bullock: I have received the petition of Christine Smith of The Gardner News appealing the nonresponse of the Hubbardston Town Clerk's Office (Town) to her request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Smith requested "[a]ll documentation including letters of resignation and emails" regarding a specifically identified individual. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Smith petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Town Administrator's office intends on providing Ms. Smith with a response to her appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Town provide Ms. Smith with a response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@,sec.state.ma.us. Ms. Smith may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
