The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records July 24, 2017 SPR17/991 Lindsay Corcoran Records Access Officer Worcester County District Attorney's Office 225 Main Street,G301 Worcester, MA 01608 Dear Ms. Corcoran: I have received the petition of Dennis Shelton, also known as Shakir Maris Abdullah, appealing the nomesponse of the Worcester County District Attorney's Office (DAO) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Shelton requested a copy of probable cause transcripts in Commonwealth v. Dennis Shelton that occurred between January/March 1990. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Shelton petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the DAO responded to Mr. Shelton's request with a response sent on July 18,2017. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the DAO's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Shelton may appeal the substantive nature ofthe DAO's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: Dennis Shelton, aka.
