Viana of the Law Ofices of Beauregard, Burke & Frdnco appealing the nonresponse of the Bristol County Sheriffs Office (Office) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66 § 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Attorney Viana requested various records within the possession of the Office concerning a client. Unsatisfied with the lack of a response from the Office, despite having mailed a check to pay the fee for the records, Attorney Viana petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Office intends on providing Attorney Viana with a response to his request. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Office provide Attorney Viana with a response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@,sec.state.ma.us.
