Assistant Attorney General, Records Access Officer Office of the Attorney General One Ashburton Place, 201 h Floor Boston, MA 02108 Dear Attorney Tarrow: I have received the petition of Jamie Folk appealing the response of the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Folk requested "[a]ny interview notes, emails, text messages or voicemail pertaining to the Attorney General's office investigation of the relationship" between two identified individuals. Mr. Folk is disputing a claim from the AGO concerning an investigation, or lack thereof, of the two aforementioned individuals. Believing there are responsive records he has not been provided, Mr. Folk petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the AGO intends to provide a supplemental response to address Mr. Folk's concerns. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the AGO provide Mr. Folk with a response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Folk may appeal the substantive nature of the AGO's response within ninety days.
