Hayes appealing the response of the Scituate Police Department (Department) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, in a letter dated June 21, 2017 Mr. Hayes requested records relating to the case of Brian Blanchard. Claiming to not yet have received the records, Mr. Hayes petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Department will provide Mr. Hayes with a response within ten business days. I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Hayes may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, Rebecca S.
