The Commonwealth of Massachusetts \Villiam Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords August 16,2017 SPR17/1091 Gayle Tickel Office Support Specialist Department of Correction · Old Colony Correctional Center One Administration Road Bridgewater, MA 02324 Dear Ms. Tickel: I have received the petition of J.D. Carrier appealing the response ofthe Old Colony Correctional Center (Center) to his request forpublic records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Specifically, Mr. Carrier requested records concerning lists of films being shown at the Center. Unsatisfied with the Center's August ih response which indicated that the Center did not have any responsive records because it "does not prepare a list of the movies," l\1r. Carrier petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the Center intends on providing l\1r. Carrier with a response addressing his concerns. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the Center provide l\1r. Carrier with said response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre(a)sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Carrier may appeal the substantive nature of the Center's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1 ). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records cc: J.D.
