The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records August 21, 2017 SPR17/1126 Rob Clickstein Records Access Officer Superintendent's Office Agawam Public Schools 1305 Springfield Street Feeding Hills, MA 01030 Dear Mr. Clickstein: I have received the petition of Jorge Teixeira appealing the nomesponse of the Agawam Public Schools (School) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Teixeira requested "[s]ettlement agreements entered into by your School District with parents and guardians, from January 1, 2011 through today, relative to the provision of special education services and/or educational placement(s) for students with disabilities, redacted of all personally identifying information." Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Teixeira petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member ofthe Public Records Division, I learned that the proper agent for handling public record requests never saw the inquiry. Nonetheless, after the School was made aware of this appeal, a representative within the School noted their willingness to provide a response. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the School provide said response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Teixeira may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety days. See C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, 1M»ffi ~ Rebecca S.
