The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords September 7, 2017 SPR17/1186 Alicia Palmer Records Access Officer Medford Public Schools 489 Winthrop Street Medford, MA 0215 5 Dear Ms. Palmer: I have received the petition of Joseph Viglione appealing the response of the Medford Public Schools (School) to his request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Viglione requested copies of"[c]ertificate of [r]eceipt of Open Meeting Law Materials." Unsatisfied with the School's response, Mr. Viglione petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that a representative from the School intends on providing Mr. Viglione with a supplemental response focused on addressing the concerns outlined in his appeal. Accordingly, I will consider this administrative appeal closed with the proviso that the School provide Mr. Viglione with a response within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of this response to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Viglione may appeal the substantive nature of the School's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
