The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor of Records August 31, 2017 SPR17/1192 Cara Toomey, Esq. Counsel to the Commissioner Massachusetts Division of Insurance 1000 Washington Street Boston, MA 02118 Dear Attorney Toomey: I have received the petition of Stephen Power appealing the nomesponse of the Massachusetts Division of Insurance (Division) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Power requested a copy of "[t]he cases .decided in the Consumer Services Unitofthe Division oflnsurance" by a specifically identified individual in 2015. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Mr. Power petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Division responded to Mr. Power's request with a response sent via email on August 17 , 201 7. Whereas this appeal was opened as a result of Mr. Power not receiving a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Mr. Power may appeal the substantive nature of the Division's response within ninety days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
