The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary of the Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords September 13, 2017 SPR17/1241 Stephanie G. Carrara Assistant Town Clerk Town of Stoughton 10 Pearl Street Stoughton, MA 02072 Dear Ms. Carrara: I have received the petition of Patricia Colburn appealing the nomesponse of the Stoughton Town Clerk's Office (Town) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, § lOA; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Ms. Colburn requested contracts, insurance documents, and bills concerning "attorneys doing business for the Town of Stoughton" during two identified timespans. Claiming to not yet have received a response, Ms. Colburn petitioned this office and this appeal was opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the Town responded to Ms. Colburn's request with a response sent on September 12, 2017. Whereas the basis of this appeal was opened as a result of the Town's failure to provide a written response, I will now consider this administrative appeal closed. Ms. Colburn may appeal the substantive nature of the Town's response within ninety (90) days. See 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
