The Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin, Secretary ofthe Commonwealth Public Records Division Rebecca S. Murray Supervisor ofR ecords September 18,2017 SPR17/1289; SPR17/1290 Julie Dellolio Records Access Officer Dracut Police Department 11 0 Loon Hill Road Dracut, MA 01826 Dear Ms. Dellolio: I have received the petition of Arthur Grenier appealing the nonresponse of the Dracut Police Department (Department) to requests for public records. G. L. c. 66, § 1O A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). Specifically, Mr. Grenier requested copies of several categories of records which he believes are in the possession of the Department concerning two specifically identified addresses. Claiming to not yet have received responses, Mr. Grenier petitioned this office and these appeals were opened as a result. Subsequent to the intervention by a staff member of the Public Records Division, I learned that the proper agent for handling public record requests never saw the inquiries. Nonetheless, after the Department was made aware of these appeals, a representative within the Department noted their willingness to provide a response to the requests. Accordingly, I will consider these administrative appeals closed with the proviso that the Department provide said response(s) within ten business days. It is preferable to send an electronic copy of the response(s) to this office at pre@sec.state.ma.us. Mr. Grenier may appeal the substantive nature of the Department's response(s) within ninety days. See C.M.R. 32.08(1). Sincerely, ~~ Rebecca S.
